Jupiter's Exalted Transit on Dhanteras – A Rare Window for Health and Wealth Renewal

Jupiter's Exalted Transit on Dhanteras – A Rare Window for Health and Wealth Renewal

The Celestial Moment

On October 18, 2025, at around 10 p.m. IST, Jupiter, the divine Guru and planet of expansion, enters Cancer, its sign of exaltation. This coincides with Trayodashi of the Karthika month, widely celebrated as Dhanteras – the day of worshipping Lord Dhanvantari and Goddess Lakshmi. Remarkably, Jupiter also enters Punarvasu Nakshatra at this very moment – the star of renewal and restoration.

Jupiter itself embodies both energies: as the karaka of Jeeva (life) he reflects the healing force of Dhanvantari, and as the karaka of Dhana (wealth) he mirrors the abundance of Lakshmi. Together these aspects represent a divine invitation to reset our energy, health, and prosperity through sacred intention.

Why This Muhurta Is Powerful

At 10 p.m. IST, the Lagna rises in Gemini, ruled by Mercury, while Jupiter, acting as both the 7th and 10th lord, is positioned in the 2nd house (Cancer). The 4th and 5th lords exchange signs, and the 11th lord aspects its own house while joining the 4th lord, strengthening material and emotional gains.

Although Mars and Ketu introduce minor tensions, they also contribute persistence and focus, ensuring that sincere efforts bring results by June 18, 2026, when Jupiter transitions to Leo.

The Remedy Ritual (18th October Evening)

Perform this sacred act between 10:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. IST.

Items to Arrange

  1. Winnowing basket (Mora)

  2. Turmeric, palm sugar, horse gram, almonds, green gram, sesame seeds

  3. Milk and curd

  4. Yellow, pink, and white flowers

  5. Tulasi leaves

Steps

  1. Place all items in the winnowing basket.

  2. Draw a Kubera Yantra (for wealth) or Dhanvantari Yantra (for health) – or both – using pure turmeric powder.

  3. Decorate the space with yellow, pink, white flowers and tulasi, invoking Goddess Lakshmi.

  4. Perform your usual puja with any Lakshmi or Shiva mantra you follow.

  5. Chant "Om Hreem Namah Shivaya" 333 times with steady breath and faith.

  6. If focusing on health, chant the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra at least 108 times.

Then, sit quietly for 3–5 minutes with eyes closed. Visualize radiant golden light entering your body and surroundings – symbolizing abundance and healing. Let your wish flow from your heart to the universe.

Leave the basket undisturbed overnight (you may refrigerate milk and curd if needed).

The Next Morning

  • Cook with the ingredients. Prepare a sweet dish and place a tulasi leaf in it before offering to the Divine.

  • Feed horse gram and almonds to a cow, or donate them in a Shiva temple if cows are inaccessible.

This completes the cycle of giving and receiving that anchors the energy of the ritual.

Continuing Practice

  • For the next 3 months, repeat "Om Hreem Namah Shivaya" 333 times daily, if possible

  • Observe how your health, relationships, and prosperity shift gradually and harmoniously.

  • By June 18, 202 the seeds sown on this Dhanteras will bear fruit in tangible ways.

Spiritual Meaning

Punarvasu Nakshatra means return to the light. It signifies the moment after the storm when the first ray of hope reappears. Performing a Dhanvantari–Lakshmi ritual during this transit aligns you with the cosmic rhythm of renewal and the blessings repeat.

As Jupiter, the Guru of the Gods, rises in strength, the universe offers you an opportunity to reset karmic patterns, restore vitality, and invite wealth that supports both dharma and well-being.

Affirmation

"Oh Guru Bhagavan, bless me with abundance like Lakshmi and bless me with health like Dhanvantari. May your grace guide me toward harmony and light."
