Return of Rahu to Śatabhishāj: A New Dawn for Technology
When Rahu re-enters its own nakṣatra, Śatabhishāj, the sky itself seems to hum with promise. Śatabhishāj—“the hundred physicians”—is Rahu’s home star, a realm of aeronautics, atmospheric exploration, and the bold frontiers of Western civilization. Here, Rahu’s uncanny affinity for technology ignites transformative breakthroughs.

At this moment:
Jupiter reigns with supreme strength—retrograde in Cancer, its own sign, “atichari” in motion.
Rahu, lord of innovation and disruption, returns to its natal nakṣatra, poised for an immense technological shift.

The Story of Rahu: The Outsider Genius
In the legend of the churning of the ocean (Samudra Manthan), when the devas and asuras sought the nectar of immortality, the devas conspired to deny the asuras their share. Disguised as the enchanting Mohinī, Lord Viṣṇu began distributing amṛrta only to the devas.
But among the asuras, one being saw through the illusion. Swarbhānu, cunning and sharp, disguised himself and sat among the gods to drink the nectar. None of the gods noticed — not even Viṣṇu — until the Sun and Moon identified him. Viṣṇu then beheaded him with his Sudarśana chakra. Yet, the nectar had touched his throat, rendering him immortal. His head became Rahu, the shadowy planet of disruption, innovation, illusion, and genius.
This myth illustrates Rahu's essence: not evil, but fiercely intelligent, rebellious, and visionary. He deceived even the divine cabinet of gods, not with brute force, but with insight and boldness.
Moreover, in Vedic lore, Varuṇa, the god of cosmic order and oceans, is declared the chief of the Asuras. And Varuṇa is also the presiding deity of Śatabhishāj. So now, Rahu returns not only to his own nakṣatra and sign but also under the command of his cosmic chief. This alignment is powerful, amplifying Rahu’s potential to manifest deep technological and metaphysical change.
